Thelma's life came to a tragic end in 1938 after years of health problems. According to her death certificate 31 year old Thelma died from chronic alcoholism, a cerebral hemorrhage, and pellagra (a vitamin deficiency). Her body was cremated but her husband John Sinclair never picked up the ashes or had them buried. Today they are being kept in the Great Mausoleum at Forest Lawn in Glendale, California. Unfortunately they are in a storage room so Thelma has no grave marker.
